Congratulations to Jessica Mills and Anna Lo Jacomo for their poster on a NaFRA2 project in the city of Manchester. They are the Winners of the Early Career Poster competition!

This competition was held at Flood and Coast last week and is an opportunity for young professionals to show their projects and communication skills. It's also a chance to win some CIWEM training credits and one-to-one mentorship with a chartered professional.

We would also like to congratulate Kirstie Murphy for her highly commended poster on optimising surface water forecast through Devon's flood resilience innovation project.

The quality of the posters was very impressive this year. Thanks to all the candidates, we are looking forward to seeing the bright future these young professionals have ahead of them in the FCERM sector.

Good morning Flood and Coast Community. And so it begins. I am really looking forward to the event and meeting as many of you as I can in person over the next few days.

One of our key aims is to place flood and erosion risk communities at the heart of Flood and Coast which means placing them in the forefront of our thinking and seeking the perspective of those who have experienced an event or live with that risk on a daily basis.
